Hot Cookies

I had a rough day this weekend. We went to a walk and our oldest kid did not want to go anywhere. He cried, was very slow, and eventually wanted to push me. That was pretty rough, then after that I was going to bake cookies for my in laws but my wife stopped me and told me to do it when we got to their house. Finally there was something else but I dont remember. I was annoyed. I tried not to lash out.
And this could have been a blog about how small things can build up into a big thing. Or how I hate being micromanaged.
But after I went to my in laws place I made hot oatmeal cookies, and everyone loved them, and in part they loved them because they were hot. And I didn’t realize that people enjoy hot oatmeal cookies. I do try to make chocolate chip cookies hot for people, but what about other cookie types? Oatmeal? Snickerdoodle? Russian Tea cookies? Are those all better hot? How did I not know about that? Is this a universal thing?
And so Sneha, my wife, was right. I should have mad the cookies hot at my in laws place.
I think some things are not good if they are too hot. Like brownies will fall apart if they are cut right out of the oven will not be enjoyable, they are kind of a fuggy mess. I also think russian tea cakes wouldn’t be good, since the powdered sugar would melt. So which cookies do you eat hot?
