Taking Time for Health

2025-08-29

I got some less than great news. I have a poylp in my nose that is huge, apparently they can develop after since infactions, one of which I had a few weeks ago. I thought I just had a blocked nose but after enough weeks went by I went to my general doctor, then after I tried a light solution I went to an ENT doctor and they gave me more medicine.

So my current regiment is take a bunch of pills with breakfast, I need to take it with breakfast or else it had bad side effects apparently. Then I have to rinse my nose with warm DI water with salt and some kind of steroid solution.

Other things I am doing for my health are trying to eat less in general, eat less dessert as well, walk for 30 minutes a day, and try to get in some push ups and sit ups.

And all of this takes time, and prevents me from doing some other things, like cleaning, working, mindlessly scrolling instagram, etc.

But I think that health is in a different category than the rest of these tasks. You only have one body, one mind. And so if you focus on your health for an extra 30 minutes a day vs cleaned for 30 minutes a day my house would definitely be a bit messier but hopefully the commitment to health I will live a little longer or live a little better in old age. And there is some line, you could spend all day working on health which seems too much, but I think an extra hour or so a day, making sure I am eating well, taking some medication, and exercising seems important.

So I am going to take some time to try to take meds, flush my nose, and exercise. And hopefully I will feel and think better soon, it is worth taking the extra time on this.
