Theory About Anatomy

Just a note, this is probably wrong. It is based not in fact or study but in idle thoughts but I found it assuming enough to share.

Apparently kids cannot wipe their butt until they are five or six. You may think this is because they don’t have the dexterity but apparently, the doctor mentioned, they do not have the arm length. They literally cannot touch their own butts until that age. And one of my first thought was, I wonder if this is an evolutionary thing? Maybe natural selection selected kids who couldn’t reach their own butts until they were a certain age so they wouldn’t accidentally get dysentery. How many kids in the past died from eating their own poop?

We have to remind our son not to touch his own poop numerous times, hopefully by the time he turns five he will understand that it is not good for him.

Again this is only a theory and it is probably a dumb one.
